Kentucky Mule! The Start of Summer! The sound of birds in the early morning and the warmth of the air in late May becomes a welcome mat for summer. Although technically according to our calendars it is still Spring, we can begin to see plants, wildlife and ourselves, wake up from a deep winter. As our universe wakes up from the deep winter sleep, so does this blogger in preparation for summer of fun exploring more cooking, shooting and living. I will start the summer series off today with a drink! Yes, a drink. A toast! A toast to our summer of fun! We will start with a Mule. Not just an ordinary Mule but my favorite, Woodford Reserve Kentucky Mule!

Let’s get Started:
Woodford Reserve Kentucky Mule - Ingredients:
1 ½ oz. of Woodford Reserve or your favorite Bourbon
2-dashes of Woodford Reserve Orange Bitters
3 oz. of ginger ale or if you like ginger beer
½ oz. of fresh lime juice
Lime wedge and orange twist
Serve over ice
